Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Overview

Algoright AI ("we", "us") builds tools to help people reduce digital distraction. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

AI Classification and third-party data sharing

When the AI Classification feature is enabled (on by default for Pro and Ultimate plans), video titles and channel names are:

  1. Sent from the browser extension to our secure Next.js server (hosted on Vercel).
  2. Forwarded from our server to Groq, Inc. (api.groq.com) for AI classification using the Llama 3.1 language model. If Groq is unavailable or rate-limited, the request is instead processed by Google Gemini (generativelanguage.googleapis.com).
  3. The category result is returned to your browser. Neither Algoright nor the AI providers store the video titles after processing on our instruction.

Groq's privacy policy: groq.com/privacy-policy · Google's Gemini API terms: ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms

To opt out: Go to Dashboard → Settings → Privacy & Data → turn off AI Classification. When off, all classification runs locally in your browser using our keyword engine. No data leaves your device.

What we do NOT collect

Data storage and retention

Your account data and usage statistics are stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the EU. You can request full deletion of your account and data by contacting us at the email below. Daily classification counters reset automatically every 24 hours.

Cookies

We use only essential session cookies set by Clerk for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Algoright AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via the dashboard or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
